BEAR FORCE ONE
Winter Season Ski Program for ages 10+
- Ages 10+
- SKI
Poley Mountain is proud to launch a new youth development program designed to keep young skiers engaged, challenged, and connected to our mountain community. Our goal is to provide these young athletes with a meaningful next step, a sense of belonging, and opportunities to grow both as skiers and future leaders.
Sessions will run every weekend starting on the weekend of January 3rd and 4th — Saturdays and Sundays from 9–11 AM and 12–2 PM, with the exception of the two March Break weekends. With the option of registering for either Saturday or Sunday or BOTH!
One day only (Saturday OR Sunday) - $500.00
both days (Saturday AND Sunday) - $850.00
Two Age Groups
To ensure age-appropriate instruction and challenges, the program will be divided into:
Ages 10–13
Ages 14–18
Program Goals & Philosophy
This program is centered around FUN, while providing students with the skills and confidence they need to navigate every type of terrain. From moguls and glades to terrain parks, steeps, and variable conditions, participants will receive expert guidance that helps them develop into well-rounded, all-mountain skiers. Instructors will ensure students feel comfortable on each trail before progressing, teaching them to balance risk and reward in a safe, supportive environment.
Schedule
Designed for Strong Young Skiers
The program is intended for children who are already confident on snow—those who can carve on green trails and comfortably handle terrain of moderate difficulty. This ensures groups can focus on skill refinement, exploration, and personal growth rather than introductory skiing.
Instructor Development Pathway
A highlight of this program is a dedicated stream for participants who are ready to take the next step toward becoming instructors themselves—truly allowing the student to become the master.
Students aged 14+ will have the opportunity to work with Canadian Ski Instructor’s Alliance certified course conductors who will deliver the 20 hours of CSIA specific content.
These students can then challenge the CSIA Level 1 exam during our March Break certification course. This structured pathway helps build future leaders, supports our ongoing recruitment of junior and full instructors, and strengthens the overall Snow School team.
Thoughtful, Adaptive Coaching
Instructors will create strategic weekly plans tailored to the mountain’s conditions and the needs of the students. Whether the focus is carving, terrain parks, moguls, or off-piste exploration, each session will be purposeful and engaging. Additional equipment—such as more brushes for obstacle courses and skill challenges—will enhance learning while keeping sessions fun and dynamic.
