At this time, we are open for the 2021/2022 Ski Season, though the specifics of our winter operations are still under review, and will be subject to regional regulations and Public Health guidelines. We can assure you that we will continue to do our utmost to prioritize the health and safety of our staff, guests, and community, by adapting our operations to limit the spread of Covid-19. We hope this information helps you make an informed decision and we hope to see you at Poley this winter.

Mountain Resorts

Follow Directional Signs, and Social Distance

We recognize that more now than ever, there is an increased interest and desire for fresh mountain air. Poley Mountain Resorts plans to operate for this upcoming season. This winter’s plan will look a little bit different than normal. We are confident that the following protocols will allow guests to feel safe and secure, while still being able to enjoy everything our Resort has to offer. 


Due to the ever-evolving nature of the situation surrounding Covid-19, our policies may need to be adjusted throughout the season. We are committed to providing you with the most up to date information as our plans come together.

Face Coverings

Face masks are not mandatory but are recommended inside the lodge and in lift lines. Our team will continue to wear face masks when unable to social distance.

Hand Sanitization and Social Distancing

There will be hand sanitization stations in all indoor facilities. 

  • Please follow good sanitary practices by washing and sanitizing your hands often, avoid touching your face, and sneeze or cough into your elbow. 
  • Increased cleaning and sanitization protocols are in place for all areas at the resort.
  • Practice physical distancing of at least 2 metres with guests that are not in your party. 
  • All employees will be wearing face coverings.

Buying Tickets

  • We will be using our outside ticket windows only. 
  • Lines will be socially distanced with physical barriers. 
  • Please use our preferred method of contactless payment. 

Chairlifts

  • Face masks are not mandatory but are recommended in lift lines.
  • Lift attendants that may need to physically assist with loading/unloading will wear the appropriate personal protective equipment. 
  • Current lift loading procedures will be family and friend bubbles loading together. We will have a singles lines, and guests have the choice of riding with family and friends to fill a chair or they will ride alone. This is subject to change based on the ever-changing situation. 
  • Lift lines will be physically distanced and guests are asked to keep at least a 2-metre distance from those not within their party. 
  • Guests are asked to maintain at least 2-metre physical distancing and avoid congregating at the tops of the lifts with those not in their parties. 

General Health and Safety

  • All guests are asked to self-assess and not visit the Resort if feeling unwell.  
  • There is  increased sanitization and scheduled cleanings throughout all areas of the Resort, using products recommended by Health Canada as being effective against the Covid-19 virus.

Snow School

  • All Snow School staff and guests will be required to wear a face covering, except when they are moving on skis or snowboards. 
  • Staggered lesson times will be implemented for all Snow School programs.  This includes bubble group and private lesson programs.

Rentals

  • Purchase rentals online only
  • Our Rental Shop will be configured to promote physical distancing and limit contact with staff and other guests. 
  • Equipment will be fully disinfected between each use. 
  • Enhanced cleaning and disinfecting schedule will be implemented for all rental areas. 
  • Hand sanitizing will be required upon entry to the rental area.

Dining

  • Seating has been reduced in all venues, with tables spread out to allow for adequate social distancing.
  • Tables will be sanitized after every use.   
  • Face coverings will be required for guests and staff when inside any food and beverage outlet, except when seated at a table and eating or drinking. 
  • More grab and go items have been added to the menus. 
  • Expanded outdoor seating with heaters and a picnic table eating area will be implemented. 
  • Hand sanitizing will be required upon entry to all venues. 

Retail

  • Social distance practices are in place.
  • Increased sanitation of all surfaces are implemented. 
  • Hand sanitizing will be required upon entry. 

Locker Room and Change Area

  • Yearly lockers are still available for this season. 
  • Social distancing and traffic flow are clearly marked.
  • Absolutely no eating in the cubby/ locker room.

Refund Policy


In the event that we are required to shut down for an extended period of time, we will be offering a pro-rated pass carry-over to next season. Our detailed refund policy breakdown that will be carried-over to next season is here.
